Ongoing support
I feel I need more consistent support.

People learn in different ways. Experience, confidence, self-belief, previous experiences, environment, and support networks all affect how much support you feel you need. Your confidence level can also change depending on the challenge you're facing and how your journey is progressing.

If you are changing how you want to work with your horse, developing new insights into behaviour, learning, or changing your behaviour, it can feel challenging, especially if you are not in a supportive environment.
I absolutely love Ben's style of teaching, his equine-centred approach, and the way he supports each of us on our journeys. The things I've learned being part of the Equine Centred Community have made a huge difference in the lives of the ponies and donkeys at our small sanctuary! And Ben is always there to help and support me if I run into an issue that I don't know how to handle. I highly, highly recommend his courses and the Equine Centred Community!
Problem number 2: Everyones a behaviourist
As people work, live, and grow up around equines, they develop ingrained patterns of behaviour and thinking that are related to their personal beliefs. So everyone who has been involved with horses for a while feels like they "know" about equine behaviour, from people on your livery yard to equine professionals. Pretty much everyone has an opinion, and they are willing to share what they think you should be doing. Don't get me wrong, they are doing it from a good place; they want you and your horse to succeed, but perhaps they are giving you their advice rather than helping you find your solutions.
It can be difficult to maintain the change you want if you are in an environment where everyone else has more historical views on how horses, donkeys and mules should be treated.

It is easy to become anxious and doubt yourself when others give you unwanted advice, especially if you feel they are more "experienced" than you are.

One of my main aims is to help you walk your own path and follow your personal journey with your horses, donkeys, and mules. I want to see you become more authentic in what you do, more relaxed, and enjoy your journey. That's why enjoying the journey is one of my key six steps for working with behaviour.

Change and growth are easier when you are not alone. When you know someone "gets" you and what you are trying to achieve. Learning and asking questions is easier when you don't feel judged or criticised.

Depending on where you are in your journey I have different ways to give you the level of regular support you need to help you relax, succeed and enjoy your journey.

Ben Hart is truly an equid training professional. If you are tired of watching “quick fix” videos about horse training and wondering why you never seem to have the same success training your horse, it is time to step back, learn the fundamentals of equid learning behaviors, how to write a shaping plan, and implement it. While it seems like this is a slow process, I guarantee you will not be struggling with the same issues with your horse, donkey, or mule in 10 years. Taking the time to acquire this knowledge will improve your relationship with your horse/donkey/mule. It will enrich their lives as well as yours and provide greater safety and security for your animals and yourself. Jane McPeters

I can’t recommend Ben enough he has helped me to become a better equine teacher to my boys. I understand so much more now than I have in over 4 years. His style of teaching is different he teaches us how to think and become confident trainers. I love all the theory work so I can understand why I’m doing what I’m doing and not just going through a linear type of training. Ben makes you think more and doesn’t tell you what to do but if you need help he’s always there. Kathryn Turner
