About the event

Don't be misled or confused by the flood of advice and ideas. Rely on the science of behaviour to gain clarity and determine what's best for you and your horse.

Ben will explore in depth how we develop our skills as "trainers," emphasizing the importance of understanding both ourselves and the equines we work with, whether they are horses, donkeys, mules and even humans. This exploration will include a variety of relationship exercises specifically designed to help participants focus on achieving the relationship they truly desire, rather than conforming to expectations or the relationships they have been told they should pursue. This day offers a relaxed and welcoming opportunity to tap into Ben's extensive experience and knowledge, which spans both human and equine behaviour.

Participants will delve into fundamental concepts such as feel, timing, and balance, which are crucial for effective communication and connection. Through practical demonstrations and engaging discussions, attendees will learn how to apply these principles not only to their interactions with horses but also to their relationships with people. Timing will be examined as a vital element in ensuring that responses are appropriate and effective, fostering a deeper connection and understanding. Balance, both physical and emotional, will be explored as a key factor in achieving harmony in any training scenario. This comprehensive approach aims to empower individuals to forge their own unique path to success, whether that be working on the ground with horses or transitioning into the saddle for riding.

By the end of the day, participants will leave with a richer understanding of how to cultivate meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and understanding, equipped with practical tools and strategies to enhance their training and relational skills. The focus will be on creating an environment where personal growth and development are prioritized, allowing each individual to thrive in their own way.
